WALKS IN THE AREA OF NEA STYRA
 
 
• CHURCHES AND CHAPELS

A circular walk around Nea Styra of approx. 2 hours where you come across several churches and chapels.

 

 
 
• PALIA STYRA(Old-Styra)

A walk of about 11 km through the nature of Evia

 

 
 
• DEILISO

A walk of 8 km with fantastic views over the landscape and the sea. Beautiful, long beaches and every day a different sunset (Dilino means sunset), after which this place was named.

 

 
 
• LIMNIONAS
A walk by the side of the Aegean Sea. Sublime sand and four tavernas (inns) complement the wild and beautiful environment. A little further takes the traveller to the two villages of Tsakeoi, built out of copperstone, and Mesochoria with its waterfall.  
  Walk through the village of Kellia

An abandoned old village with stone houses, some still in good condition, some already a ruin. In a green area in the mountains, where only birds and sheep can be heard.

  Visit the so-called „Dragon houses“ in the stone temples of HERA
(10 – 6 annum b.c.)

The only and worldwide-known dragon houses are a construction of spectacular architecture, built of huge monolites by the „dragons“ (as people used to say).

Dryopikii – Acropolis of Styra

There, at a height of 670 m, stand the French Castle and the Gate of Armeni.
